Privacy Policy
Lighter Lending
Effective Date: May 1, 2026
Last Updated: June 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Draper Company Ltd. ("Lighter Lending," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, sells, and shares information about you when you visit lighterlending.com (the "Site"), submit a request or application through our forms, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").
Please read this Policy carefully. By using the Services or submitting your information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and agree to the practices described in it and in our Terms of Use.
1. Important Notice: We Are Not a Lender
Lighter Lending is a marketing and lead generation service. We are not a bank, lender, loan broker, credit repair organization, debt settlement company, or financial advisor. We do not make credit decisions, do not issue loans, and do not guarantee that you will be approved for any loan, rate, term, or product.
Our role is to collect the information you provide and connect you with third-party lenders, lending marketplaces, debt-relief and debt-settlement providers, marketing partners, and other service providers (collectively, "Partners") who may contact you about loan, debt-relief, and other financial products. Any loan or program you ultimately receive is offered by a Partner, not by us, and is governed by that Partner's own terms, rates, and privacy practices. We are compensated by Partners when we refer consumers to them. See our Terms of Use for details on how we are paid.
2. Eligibility and Age Restriction
The Services are intended only for United States residents who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their state). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at privacy@lighterlending.com and we will delete it.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information.
3.1 Information you provide directly
When you use our forms and application flow, we may collect:
- Identifiers: name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing or street address, city, state, ZIP code, and date of birth.
- Financial information: requested loan amount, loan purpose (for example, debt consolidation, credit card refinancing, home improvement), approximate total unsecured debt or debt balance, annual income, and pay frequency.
- Employment information: employment status (for example, full-time, part-time, self-employed, military, retired) and related details.
- Demographic information: property status (own or rent) and highest level of education.
- Sensitive information (where collected): to the extent you provide it or it is required to verify your identity or process your request with a Partner, this may include your Social Security number, driver's license or state identification number, and financial account or bank account information. We collect sensitive information only where reasonably necessary and handle it as described in Section 11.
- Contact preferences: preferred callback time and similar scheduling details.
- Verification information: any access code or additional identity details you submit during manual verification.
Some fields are required to use the Services and others are optional. Fields marked optional may be left blank.
3.2 Information we collect automatically
When you access the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and general geolocation derived from IP address.
- Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, referring and exit pages, and form interaction data.
- Consent and verification data: records of the disclosures shown to you, your interactions with consent language, timestamps, and the page URL where you submitted information. We and our partners may use third-party consent-certification technology (such as TrustedForm or Jornaya/LeadiD) to independently document your consent and the lead event.
We collect this information using cookies, web beacons, pixels, session-replay tools, and similar technologies. See Section 8 for more on cookies and your choices.
3.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from:
- Partners and lead sources: if you arrived through a partner, affiliate, or comparison site, that source may share the information you provided to them along with consent records.
- Data and verification providers: identity verification, fraud prevention, and data-enhancement vendors who confirm or supplement the information you submit.
- Consumer reporting agencies: see Section 9 regarding credit information.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, provide, and improve the Services.
- Match you with Partners and transmit your request to them so they can evaluate your eligibility and present offers.
- Contact you by phone, text message (SMS), and email about your request, your application, and loan, debt-relief, and other financial products, as authorized in Section 7.
- Verify your identity and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity.
- Conduct analytics, measure marketing performance, and optimize our forms and campaigns.
- Maintain records of consent, disclosures, and transactions for legal and compliance purposes.
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, and enforceable governmental requests.
- Enforce our Terms of Use and protect our rights, our users, and the public.
We may de-identify or aggregate information so that it no longer reasonably identifies you, and we may use and disclose that data for any lawful purpose.
5. How We Disclose, Sell, and Share Your Information
Read this section carefully. The core function of the Services is to connect you with Partners, which means we share and sell the information you submit.
5.1 With lending and marketing Partners
When you submit a request, we disclose the information you provide to one or more Partners, including third-party lenders, lending marketplaces, debt-relief and debt-settlement providers, financial-product providers, and marketing partners, so that they may contact you and present offers. Depending on your information and the criteria set by Partners, your information may be shared with up to ten (10) Partners per submission. A current list of the categories of Partners with whom we may share your information is available at /legal/third-parties. Once a Partner receives your information, that Partner's own privacy policy governs its use of your information, and we are not responsible for the Partner's practices.
5.2 With service providers
We share information with vendors who perform services for us, such as hosting, analytics, identity verification, fraud prevention, consent certification, communications delivery (telephony and SMS), and customer support. These providers are authorized to use your information only to perform services for us.
5.3 For corporate transactions
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the commitments in this Policy.
5.4 For legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information when we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law or legal process, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, enforce our agreements, detect or prevent fraud or security issues, or protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
5.5 "Sale" and "Sharing" under privacy laws
Because we transmit the information you submit to Partners in exchange for compensation, and because we use third-party advertising and analytics technologies, our activities may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar state laws. You have the right to opt out. See Section 10 and Section 11. You can exercise this right at any time through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link or by contacting us at privacy@lighterlending.com.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.
6. How We Are Compensated
We do not charge you a fee to use the Services. We are paid by Partners on a per-lead, per-click, per-call, or per-funded-loan basis when we refer you to them. This compensation may influence which Partners are presented to you and in what order. We do not present every available lender or product, and the offers you receive may not be the best terms available to you in the market. We encourage you to compare offers independently before accepting any loan.
7. Communications and Your TCPA Consent
When you submit your phone number and complete our form, you provide your prior express written consent for Lighter Lending and our Partners to contact you at the telephone number and email address you provide, including by:
- automatic telephone dialing systems and autodialers,
- artificial or prerecorded voice messages, and
- text (SMS) messages,
for marketing, servicing, and informational purposes regarding loan, debt-relief, and other financial products, even if your number is on a state or federal Do Not Call registry. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, loan, or service. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
How to opt out. You may revoke your consent at any time:
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop SMS from that sender. Reply HELP for help.
- Ask any caller to place you on their internal do-not-call list.
- Email us at privacy@lighterlending.com with the phone number you want removed.
Revoking consent through us stops future communications from Lighter Lending. Partners who already received your information are separate businesses, and you may need to opt out with each Partner directly. We honor opt-out requests in accordance with applicable law, and we are implementing processes to treat opt-out requests as broadly as the law requires, consistent with evolving FCC rules on consent revocation.
For full communication terms, see our Terms of Use.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, server-side tracking, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure performance, document consent, and support advertising. These technologies include, without limitation:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager, for site analytics and tag management.
- Google Ads conversion tracking, for measuring and optimizing our advertising on Google.
- Meta Pixel, for measuring, optimizing, and building audiences for our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
- Lead-distribution and attribution pixels placed by our lead-routing platform and by Partners.
In connection with advertising and measurement, we may share certain identifiers, including hashed (encrypted) versions of your email address and phone number, with advertising platforms such as Google and Meta so they can match and attribute conversions and deliver relevant advertising. For a complete list of the technologies we use and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.
Your choices:
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings.
- You can opt out of certain interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).
- You can manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and Meta ad preferences in your Facebook settings.
- You can learn how Google Analytics collects data at google.com/policies/privacy/partners and opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Many browsers transmit a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where required by law, we treat a GPC signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for that browser and device.
Some features of the Site may not function properly if you disable cookies.
9. Credit Information and FCRA
By submitting your information, you authorize Lighter Lending, our Partners, and their service providers to obtain your consumer credit report and related information from one or more consumer reporting agencies in order to verify your identity, determine your eligibility for loan products, and present potential offers. You understand that this may result in a soft inquiry that does not affect your credit score. A Partner may later conduct a hard inquiry with your separate authorization if you proceed with a formal application. We do not make credit decisions and are not a consumer reporting agency.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Opt out of calls and texts as described in Section 7.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link or by emailing privacy@lighterlending.com.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions, by emailing privacy@lighterlending.com.
We will verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. When you request deletion of your personal information, we will delete it from our active systems, except where retention is permitted or required by law, and we will notify the Partners to whom we transmitted your information so they can process the deletion in accordance with their own obligations.
11. State Privacy Rights
11.1 California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell or share.
- Access and obtain a copy of your personal information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable.
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 3 and have disclosed and "sold" or "shared" identifiers, financial information, employment information, demographic information, and internet activity to the categories of recipients described in Section 5. Where we collect sensitive personal information, such as a Social Security number, driver's license number, or financial account information, you have the right to limit our use and disclosure of that information to the purposes permitted by law, and we use it only to verify your identity and to process your request with a Partner. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@lighterlending.com, use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with proper authorization.
11.2 Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states
If you are a resident of a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, access it, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. Where applicable, you also have the right to appeal a denial of a request. To exercise these rights, email privacy@lighterlending.com. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and where available you may contact your state Attorney General.
11.3 Nevada
Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of certain covered information by emailing privacy@lighterlending.com.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Retention periods vary by data type:
- Lead data (name, contact details, financial and debt information): up to twenty-four (24) months from the date of collection, unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve a dispute.
- Consent records (TCPA and other consent documentation, including third-party consent certificates): a minimum of 5 years, consistent with the applicable statutes of limitations.
- Server logs and IP data: typically up to 90 days.
- Suppression and opt-out records: retained on an ongoing basis so that we can continue to honor your opt-out and do-not-contact requests.
When a retention period expires, we delete, de-identify, or anonymize the information.
13. Data Security
13.1 Security measures
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any access codes or credentials confidential.
13.2 Breach notification
In the event of a security incident affecting your unencrypted personal information, we will notify you and the applicable regulators in accordance with the timelines and requirements of federal law and the breach-notification laws of your state of residence.
14. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and Partner sites that we do not operate or control. This Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of every third party before providing your information to them.
15. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as described in Section 8 where required by law.
16. United States Only
The Services are intended for users located in the United States. We do not direct the Services to, or knowingly collect information from, individuals outside the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and consent to the processing of your information in the United States.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
