Your Right to Opt Out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), you have the right to direct Lighter Lending not to "sell" or "share" your personal information. You have similar rights under the privacy laws of states including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Florida, Oregon, and others, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data. This page lets you exercise those rights.
What this opt-out does. If you submit the request below, we will stop selling or sharing your personal information with our third-party advertising partners and, where applicable, stop sharing your lead data with new Partner providers going forward. This opt-out does not cancel contact from Partners with whom you have already been matched. To stop contact from a specific Partner, contact that Partner directly. To stop future contact from Lighter Lending across all channels, also submit a request through our Unsubscribe / Manage Preferences page.
How to Submit an Opt-Out Request
You can exercise your opt-out and other privacy rights in any of the following ways:
- Online form. Submit a request through our Unsubscribe / Manage Preferences page. Select "All Communications" to opt out of all channels and to submit a Do Not Sell or Share request.
- Email. Send a message to privacy@lighterlending.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share" and include your full name, email address, and (if applicable) the phone number you provided to us.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a valid GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information for that browser and device.
- Authorized agent. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require written authorization and verification of identity before processing an agent request.
Other Privacy Rights
In addition to the right to opt out, depending on your state of residence you may have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
- Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@lighterlending.com. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days as required by law. In some cases we may need an additional 45 days and will notify you if we do. When you request deletion, we will also notify the Partners to whom we transmitted your information so they can process the deletion in accordance with their own obligations.
Verification
To protect your personal information, we will verify your identity before processing a deletion, correction, or right-to-know request. Verification typically involves confirming information you provided at the time of your original submission, such as your name, email address, and phone number. We will not require you to create an account to submit a request.
